Young People's Guild (YPG)
The Young Peoples’ Guild (YPG) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Manhattan was formed and inaugurated on August 18, 1996. The first officers were as follows;
The goal of the founders was to empower the Youth spiritually, mentally and physically as they form the future leaders of the Church. The founders also sought to advance the youth in the areas of responsibility, commitment and contributing to the growth of the church as well.
JY was led by Brobbey Gyening and Rex Agyemang. It is currently led by Rex Agyemang.
The numerical strength of the YPG stands at 55 members. Out of this, 20 members are very active. The numerical strength of JY stands at 33 members. It must be noted that, members are dedicated to the course of Christ.
Over the years, the Youth Guild from Ghana as well as other youth materials has been the main source for the planning of activities for the youth.
